At first glance, graphic design may not appear
to be as expressive as other forms of art and
design, but in some inexplicable way, my work
reflects a creative state of chaos. It relies on
energetic use of solid concepts combined with
diagonals and type, or my own drawing style of
loose, heavy lines and spontaneity.

Over the years, I have developed a deep
appreciation for typography as a design element.
I see letterforms not only as a means by which
human civilization communicates by written word,
but as independent art forms. The entire mood of
a publication can depend on a choice of a typeface.
Typefaces extract a psychology from carefully
constructed and intersecting lines and curves,
much like lines and forms of a painting or sculpture.
Ultimately, letters are beautiful, elegant structures.
